THE CATHEDRAL AND TOWER AS YOU HAVE NEVER SEEN THEM

From 31 January, in room 2 on the second floor of the Cathedral MuseumsThe new video 'The Duomo and the Tower as you have never seen them', produced in cooperation with the Modena World Heritage Office, will be screened.

In the film, some inaccessible parts of the Duomo and the Ghirlandina are presented, which are important for understanding their construction characteristics and the changes that have taken place over time.

The projection also makes use of the rich heritage of photographs that, since the 19th century, have accompanied and documented the history and more recent transformations of the complex, in particular the late 19th century restoration campaign aimed at recovering the cathedral's original Romanesque face, isolating it from the buildings that had been attached to it over time.

To ensure maximum usability, the video was subtitled in Italian and English thanks to a collaboration with FIADDA Emilia Romagna - Association for the Rights of Deaf People and Families.
