HERITAGE OF MANKIND. LIVE IT TO THE FULL
E’ partita la campagna di sensibilizzazione per la fruizione del Sito Unesco di Modena con manifesti, cartoline e video sui social
From dusk to dawn, beginning the visit by crossing the threshold of the Duomo, then continuing by discovering the decorations and sculptures on the façade and exploring in the middle of the night the surroundings of the Cathedral, Via Lanfranco and Piazza Grande, with the Palazzo Comunale overlooking it, until the city wakes up and smells its scents; then, the Ghirlandina tower, the 200 steps to climb and the background sound of the bells.
This is the journey proposed by 'In the shadow of the stones', the multisensory guide to the Unesco site presented during the sixth edition of 'Modena World Heritage'.
The guide has been edited by the Unesco Site Coordination of the Civic Museum, with the collaboration of La Girobussola Aps, and is proposed together with "Di tutti, per tutti. Prontuario inclusivo per la visita al Sito Unesco di Modena" (Inclusive handbook for visiting the Unesco Site of Modena), presented last year, as part of a larger project on accessibility aimed at all citizens, with special attention to people with disabilities.
The multisensory guide combines poetic text, evocative images, and audio content downloadable with QR codes to allow the monuments to be visited using truly multiple senses: from sight to hearing, from smell to touch. With icons in the text to indicate, each time, the eye, the ear, the nose, the hand.
Il libro è in vendita, a 15 euro, al Palazzo dei Musei e ai Musei del Duomo.
The illustrations, which emphasise the black/white contrast to "maximise the graphic impact, visibility and legibility of the images", are by Ufficio Misteri (Marco Bassi, Daniele Castellano, Bruno Zocca); the texts by Elena Grazia Fè, Marta Giacomoni and Paolo Giacomoni; the voices by Lucia Fontanelli and Agostino Rocca; the sounds by Andrea De Franco; the project is coordinated by the director of the Civic Museum Francesca Piccinini.
